Role

Overview The Hospital Inventory Management Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring optimal product availability for hospitals across Europe and the Middle East. The position focuses on inventory management, purchase order processing, supplier coordination, inventory reconciliation, and resolution of supply chain-related issues to support uninterrupted patient care. As part of a dynamic international team, you will work closely with Hospital Operations, Customer Service and external suppliers to maintain accurate inventory levels, improve operational performance, and drive customer satisfaction. Why This Role Matters Accurate inventory management is essential to ensuring hospitals have the right products available at the right time. Through effective supplier management, inventory monitoring, data analysis, and issue resolution, this role directly contributes to operational excellence and a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management Ensure optimal stock availability across assigned hospital accounts. Monitor inventory levels and identify inventory discrepancies. Process consumed materials from hospital inventory locations. Perform monthly inventory reconciliation activities and ensure inventory accuracy. Support inventory optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. Purchase Order & Supplier Management Create, review, and manage purchase orders to predetermined suppliers. Monitor the delivery process and proactively follow up on delayed or incomplete deliveries. Maintain regular communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Issue Resolution & Operational Support Investigate and resolve invoice disputes and invoice-related issues. Manage follow-up activities related to logistics and product complaints. Identify root causes of operational issues and coordinate corrective actions. Escalate critical risks and supply disruptions when necessary. Reporting & Analysis Support business reviews with data-driven insights and recommendations. Review accuracy of master data and transactional records. Stakeholder Collaboration Cooperate closely with Hospital Operations teams, Supply Chain, Customer Service and external suppliers. Act as a key point of contact for inventory and supply-related inquiries. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Education

Minimum High School Diploma. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is an advantage.

Experience

Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, Customer Service, or Operations is considered an advantage but is not required. Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong computer literacy and ability to work with multiple systems. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage. Professional Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Customer-oriented mindset. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Confidence in communication and stakeholder management. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
