Standard Job Description Manages the development and evaluation of calibration systems that measure characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena, such as length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, luminous intensity, and derived units of physical or chemical measure. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Directs the development of calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems and accuracy and precision requirements. Basic Qualifications Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education. Familiarity with AS9100, ISO-9001, and MIL-STD-1913/1917 quality system requirements. Ability to develop, schedule, and deliver training for hourly associates. Ability to manage cost and schedule in a Manufacturing enviroment Leadership experience Desired Skills Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities and provide succinct direction in a dynamic business environment. Strong communication skills Knowledge of Sikorsky processes and procedures related to aircraft production (e.g. Non-conforming material management, etc.). Demonstrated use of data-driven decision-making to develop and monitor workforce labor-hour metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Experience developing and maintaining positive working relationships with contracted union and customers. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
