APS supplies mission equipment directly to original equipment manufacturers and government entities for integration on larger systems. The RVS Technical Director (TD) defines and maintains the technology development roadmaps to support the business and is responsible for developing technical strategies for all phases of capture across Mission Areas and product teams. The RVS Technical Director will provide unified technical leadership, maintain the system architecture, and coordinate engineering across all segments. This role ensures coherent technical decisions, maintains the system baseline, and supports customer technical engagements that are essential for meeting performance and schedule commitments. This is an onsite role in Goleta, CA.
What You Will Do
Provide technical oversight to the Mission Areas to develop technical strategies generally Gate - 1 to 4 Be responsible for the technical investment strategy. Compile/maintain Mission Area technical roadmaps to support the business. Ensure technology and development efforts meet business and customer needs. Address the toughest technical challenges and solve complex problems across all business and functional domains. Collaborate with top Raytheon & RTX leaders, customers, suppliers.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Experience with program capture, government, and industry funding sources. Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications
We Prefer Advanced degree preferred. Strong understanding of industry technologies and capabilities in infrared and night vision detectors, cameras, and systems. Modeling and analysis of EO/IR systems and related applications and phenomenology’s. Leads development of specific technology discriminators and capabilities that span program and business avenues for all efforts within the RVS Tactical Mission Area Experience shaping customer approaches to solve mission needs Experience leading the development and maintenance of RVS Tactical Engineering technology roadmaps.
