POSITION
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Laboratory Director, the Supervisor of the Lab is responsible to coordinate personnel, equipment, resources and testing procedures within the lab. Required to compile QA statistics, attend departmental meetings assigned by the director. Supervises training and educational programs to include regulatory compliance with CAP and Joint Commission standards - required to update all procedures as regulations are updated, completes competency assessments, revise proficiency testing, and participates in data entry for PT results. Researches and provides technical support to Physicians for guidance on Laboratory testing and evaluates new technology, also me assigned additional duties as determined by the Laboratory Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree from an approved program in Medical Laboratory Technology minimum of three (3) years in a clinical lab two (2) of which must be within assigned section of responsibility. MT/MLS/MLT ASCP or AMT is required. Must be able to read and write. Must have ability to learn/use computer software.
