Job Description
Summary The position is to clean and maintain sanitary conditions in the employee facilities such as: Lunchroom, Restrooms, Locker Rooms, Hallways, and Stairways. Using established cleaning procedures, chemicals, tools and techniques, maintains sanitary conditions in the Bathrooms, Lunchroom, and Locker Room. Position is for D Shift.
Job Description
Clean s restrooms including floors, stalls, urinals and toilets, sinks, fixtures and walls. Stock s restrooms with paper products and soap. Sweep s , mop s and wax es hallway s and cafeteria as required . Maintai ns a clean and sanitary lunchroom thorough cleaning of tables, counters, floors and walls; empty garbage cans and chang e liners. Wash windows and doors. Basic cleaning of Warehouse offices and Break room, Maintenance, Personnel and Supervisors offices. Proper use of Safety signs and Barricades. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals usage and technique Other duties as assigned Basic & Preferred Qualifications Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred) High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required . If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.
Skills and Experience
Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English (both written and oral) (Requirement may vary by location). Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility . Physical Environment/Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently . Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures . Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment . Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties . Ability to operate work related equipment Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation May have to sample food while evaluating
