Analyst, Same Day Topology, LTP

Have you ever ordered a product on the Amazon website and wondered how it got delivered to you via Same Day, and what kinds of topology, demand and capacity processes are running behind the scenes to power the whole operation? If so, this role is for you. Key job responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for steering our LTP topology to deliver end-to-end benefits across Customer Experience, Speed, and Cost. This is a role for an exceptionally talented person, with high energy and courage, passionate about ambiguity and delivering concrete improvements for our customers, and who wants to achieve that using data. The role is split 70% analytics and 30% project management. The key job responsibilities can be split in two buckets: (1) Data Analytics/Science - Deep dive complex data to uncover actionable insights for known and unknown problems - Good expertise with SQL techniques - Build strong analytics tools to highlight defects and extract actionable insights from our end-to-end supply chain (2) Project management: - Lead regular business reviews with partner teams to monitor progress of projects in the roadmap, and help remove bottlenecks - Use and share your insights with partner teams to influence and build a roadmap of projects that accelerate speed of deliveries in your country - For the most complex and ambitious opportunities, quickly launch new pilots and build scale-up business cases with benefits, bottlenecks, risks, and resources required - Consolidate progress into crisp, concise, data-driven status updates. You will own reporting to Amazon senior leadership. A day in the life You'll work across First Mile and Last Mile topology teams to shape the physical network that powers Same Day: classifying and sizing node types (Nexus, dedicated Same Day sites, standard fulfillment sites), evaluating RE candidates against coverage and capacity needs, and reconciling demand against what the network can realistically serve at a regional and site level. You'll turn that analysis into a prioritized roadmap and drive it through recurring workshops with Real Estate, Topology, Finance, and Science partners, tracking action items to closure and reporting progress up to senior leadership.
