As an Embedded Software Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG)  located in Urbandale, IA   or Silvis, IL  you will ….

Be a member of an embedded development scrum team working with multiple stakeholders to build and implement functionality for John Deere agricultural equipment such as In-Field Data Sharing and Logistics. Collaborate with Systems Engineers, Software Architects, and other teams in the John Deere Tech Stack to design, develop, and test software for a broad spectrum of Deere equipment with a focus on Precision Ag. Operate as a member in a scrum team environment on varying projects with and provide work direction for team members. Provide product support and defect triage of those system(s).

1 year of demonstrated experience in embedded software development using C++, Python, Java, or other Object-Oriented languages. Knowledge of CAN & Ethernet protocols and tools. Experience in design, development, and testing software applications. Understand real-time operating systems and multi process/thread concepts. Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a distributed team environment. What Makes You Stand Out

Knowledge of IoT Messaging Demonstrated understanding of Object-Oriented Principles. Demonstrated understanding of inter process communication and multi-threading. Experience working with Ops Center via Embedded Gen4/5 Interfaces.
