Inpatient & Outpatient Ortho Spine Surgery Nurse Practitioner

Orthopedic Spine Surgery PA/NP Opportunity MedStar Orthopedics at Brandywine – Brandywine, MD & Lorton, VA   MedStar Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopedic Spine Surgery team and work closely with Dr. David A. Weiner, Orthopedic Spine Surgeon.   This is a full-time opportunity based primarily out of Brandywine, MD, with patient care at our Lorton, VA office as well. The APP will provide both outpatient clinic care and first-assist support in the operating room.

Overview Full-time, Monday–Friday 8-hour shifts No weekends, nights, or holidays Primary location: Brandywine, MD Additional clinic coverage in Lorton, VA Work directly with an experienced Orthopedic Spine Surgeon Clinical Responsibilities Evaluate and manage new patients Evaluate established and post-operative patients Conduct independent clinic visits Develop treatment plans and coordinate patient care Provide follow-up care for spine patients Surgical Responsibilities First assist in orthopedic spine surgery Work closely with Dr. Weiner in the operating room Support surgical procedures and perioperative patient care Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Current PA or NP certification and licensure Orthopedic/spine experience preferred NP candidates must have First Assist/RNFA certification New graduates with strong orthopedic experience or interest may be considered Strong clinical assessment, communication, and surgical skills MedStar Health Benefits Competitive salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid malpractice insurance Generous PTO CME leave and allowance 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Join MedStar Health , a nationally recognized health system and the largest provider of healthcare services in the Baltimore/Washington region.   To learn more or apply, please send your CV to Morgan M.
