As a Backhoe Engine Application Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque , IA , you will:
Be responsible for PDP engine, engine auxiliary, and engine systems vehicle integration Develop Backhoe engines, fuel systems, air systems, and other engine auxiliaries as part of PDP Work with John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) and Yanmar to develop calibrations that meet vehicle performance requirements Diagnose engine and cooling issues during new product development and support PVV engine and cooling test activities Lead Integrated Systems Development Process (ISDP) projects for Backhoe products that support future portfolio needs Contribute to product design guidelines, design books, and engineering analysis procedures for Backhoes

Interest to learn engines, engine auxiliary systems, or cooling systems Ability to analyze technical data, consider multiple alternatives, and understanding of data driven decisions / recommendations Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Strong project management skills and ability to influence without authority Experience with 3D modeling tools, such as Creo Ability to collaborate with individuals of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, capabilities, and backgrounds What Makes You Standout
Cross-functional experience related to PVV, performance evaluation, software, and/or manufacturing teams Experience with analytics software such as KULI, MATLAB, or nCode Experience with CAN communication and / or engine diagnostic tools such as DevX Experience as a Team Lead, Integration Lead, Design Review Lead or Subject Matter Expert
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural or Aerospace Engineering.
