Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Key Objectives Advanced Analytics (AA) is a core strategic capability for the MedTech Company, enabling data-driven decision-making through insight generation and advancing productivity by simplifying processes through advanced technology. The Data Scientist serves as a senior analyst and project leader, responsible for delivering advanced analytical solutions, shaping analytical approaches, raising quality standards, and translating complex analyses into actionable business decisions across the organization. This role reports to the Advanced Analytics Manager.
Responsibilities
1. Business Partnership & Strategic Alignment Act as a senior analytical partner to internal stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of business strategies, market context, constraints, and decision-making processes. Identify high-impact business opportunities and challenges, translating them into clearly defined problem statements, analytical approaches, and success metrics. Communicate insights, assumptions, risks, limitations, and recommendations clearly to business stakeholders to support informed decision-making and drive action. 2. Project Execution & Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business, technology, and data engineering, to execute data science and AI projects effectively. Lead analytical projects end-to-end by coordinating roles, timelines, and dependencies. Communicate progress, risks, and issues transparently to stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely decision-making. 3. Data Science, AI & Advanced Analytics Delivery Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytical and AI models to optimize commercial activities, marketing strategies, and business processes. Apply advanced modeling techniques to improve customer experience, revenue growth, targeting effectiveness, and other strategic objectives. Establish and govern A/B testing and experimentation frameworks, ensuring statistical validity, interpretability, and compliance with internal standards. 4. Data Management, Model Operationalization & Governance Evaluate the quality, effectiveness, and limitations of data sources and data collection methods. Deliver projects in line with defined internal processes and approval flows. Partner with technology and data engineering teams to operationalize models and embed analytics into business workflows. Continuously monitor model performance post-deployment and drive optimization to improve accuracy, effectiveness, and business impact.
