Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Lead Scientist – LCMS Our largest UK site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Lead Scientist to join the LCMS team. Job Responsibilities include: Lead scientific activities supporting method development, validation, and sample analysis projects Serve in key study leadership roles (e.g., Study Director, Principal Investigator, Responsible Scientist) for regulated and non-regulated studies. Develop, review, and approve protocols, validation plans, reports, and study data. Provide scientific oversight to ensure compliance with GLP, GCP, regulatory, and client requirements. Act as the primary scientific contact for clients, defining project requirements and managing scientific expectations. Identify and resolve scientific challenges, risks, and scope changes throughout the study lifecycle. Provide technical expertise and support assay troubleshooting and scientific investigations. Lead, mentor, and develop scientific staff while fostering collaboration and a culture of quality. Manage multiple complex projects, ensuring delivery to quality, timeline, and client expectations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scientific excellence and client satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
Advanced scientific degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline. Strong experience in bioanalytical method development, validation, and regulated study conduct. Thorough understanding of GLP, GCP, and applicable regulatory requirements. Proven ability to interpret complex scientific data and make sound technical decisions. Excellent client management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and project management experience.
