Job Description To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Junior Engineer – Component Engineering in Chennai. What a typical day looks like: · Enter and maintain component data and manufacturer information and approved vendor lists in global component database · Create a component database for all the Electrical/Electronic & Indirect materials Quality review of the component parameter attributes from datasheets · Provides guidance regarding part selection, design concepts, specification requirements, critical components and alternate sources. · Validate AML and provide proper alternates if any discrepancies · Monitor Component EOL and manage the component obsolescence · Part of a cross-functional team in implementing product component changes within the Company · Experience in Manufacturing /Engineering industry preferably in electronics. · Good organization and technical communication skills to effectively monitor and convey component end-of-life (EOL) notifications and part change notifications (PCN’s) to Purchasing and Engineering. · Familiar with circuit design principles and board layout guidelines, identifying alternate parts and manufacturers. · Knowledge of any design software like OrCAD, CIS, Allegro desirable The experience we’re looking to add to our team: · Knowledge of electrical and electronic components. · Experience - 0 to 1 yrs · Excellent written and oral communication skills MANDATORY. · Working Knowledge of MS Office tools (MS Excel, MS Word) · Good team player · Good knowledge of electronic components and their applications to quickly evaluate the severity of EOL’s and PCN’s, and to evaluate potential alternates. · experience as a in a manufacturing set up, preferably in EMS industry · Qualifications-BE in E&TC/Electronics/EEE Here are a few examples of what you will get for the great work you provide: · Health Insurance · PTO Job Category Production Engineering Required Skills: Optional Skills: Flex pays for all costs associated with the application, interview or offer process, a candidate will not be asked for any payment related to these costs.
