Come learn more about Smurfit WestRock's Battle Creek, MI Paper Mill! We are looking for Industrial Journeyman Millwrights. When you join Smurfit Westrock, you will be joining a team that creates sustainable paper and packaging solutions that help move the world forward. How You Will Make an Impact Participate in the safety program, works to exceed all safety standards and requirements mandated by the mill and OSHA. Maintain mechanical components and perform machine alignment. Fabricate parts & equipment. Performs preventative maintenance duties on facility equipment. Communicate effectively across departments, excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to respond to emergency machine breakdowns in a timely manner and completes assigned task correctly and within the allotted time. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Alignment with Smurfit Westrock's values of safety, loyalty, integrity and respect What You Need to Succeed Required Qualifications Millwright or Machine Repair Journeyman Card Must have an outstanding safety record and engage in safety activities across the mill Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality and precision of work Must be able to work alone with minimum supervision in a team concept Willingness to work shift work and/or overtime when necessary Able to work at heights, in confined space, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
