About the Experience The Hartford’s Technology, Data, AI, and Operations organization offers an immersive summer internship program designed to help students explore careers in software engineering, data engineering, cybersecurity, AI, analytics, data science, and technology operations within the insurance industry. As part of The Hartford’s growing investment in AI and advanced technologies, interns will gain exposure to emerging capabilities such as generative AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation while contributing to meaningful projects that support business and customer outcomes. This internship provides hands-on experience developing software solutions, collaborating with Agile teams, and learning how technology drives innovation across the enterprise. This role is a hybrid position in Hartford, CT. Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment to deliver technology solutions. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including coding, debugging, testing, deployment, documentation, and code reviews. Leverage modern programming languages, development frameworks, databases, and cloud technologies to build scalable and reliable solutions. Use AI-powered development tools and explore emerging technologies to enhance productivity, improve software quality, and support innovation. Apply technical and analytical problem-solving skills to improve application performance, security, and customer experiences, and present outcomes to stakeholders.
