About the opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic full-time Intern to join our AFC Operations Department for 6 months (extension to 1 year possible based on performance and business needs). You will ensure compliance with applicable regulations and relevant company policies related to Anti-Financial Crime. Our target in AFC is to lead and shape the industry by creating a culture of compliance within N26 that authorities, customers and stakeholders can trust. This role is crucial to achieve this goal.
In this role, you will
• As AFC Operations Intern, you will support all Anti-Financial Crime tasks including AML, terrorism financing, sanctions, KYC, and fraud. You’ll detect Money Laundering typologies and Financial Crime patterns, while handling external and internal requests to detect potential financial crime.
Your responsibilities will include
• Engage in various work streams that evolve daily in response to business needs.
• Perform tasks such as scanning letters, ensuring timely and accurate document management.
• Assist with Report submissions, contributing to data privacy and compliance efforts.
• Participate in case investigations, supporting the resolution of specific issues or incidents.
• Take on ad-hoc project work, allowing you to gain experience across different areas of the business.
• Handle other administrative tasks as required, helping maintain smooth operational workflow.
• Expanding the processes in our procedures and policies, as well as identifying improvements related to our internal systems.
Background
• Bachelor’s degree (ideally in law, business or finance) completed in the past 3 years.
• Availability to work full-time for 6 months (with extension to 1 year possible based on performance and business needs).
• Knowledge use of MS Office (G suits) skills for Excel and Word.
• You are fluent in English and Spanish spoken and written.
• Deliver with quality and keep confidentiality.
• Maintain an analytical mindset, willingness of thinking out of the box and appetite for learning.
• Great attitude and keen to learn.
