This intern will focus on analyzing gas emergency response data to identify trends, improve operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making. They will work with large datasets to generate insights that help enhance emergency response processes and outcomes. Typical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Monthly OT Report: - Run the OT report each month. - Clean up the report and validate the data. - Move the finalized report into Power BI and update the visuals. UKG / CADO Support: - Continue helping with UKG/CADO issues when needed. - Receive screenshots of time-entry screens so I can review and help troubleshoot problems. Response-Time Report - Create a report that reviews response times. - Compare response-time performance before and after the on-call scheduling change. - Look for trends and determine whether scheduling changes appear to affect response times. Vac Trailer Program: - Continued discussion on vac truck availability and accountability. - The department needs additional vac trailer capacity to support operations. - We will identify dedicated storage locations for trailers and establish a standardized process for requesting, building, and deploying vac trailers so expectations are clear across This position is for a May 31, 2027 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship’s initial term based on the candidate’s successful performance and Xcel Energy’s business needs. Minimum Requirements: - Current student, Freshman or higher (as of Fall 2027) - Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Engineering - Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.
