Plant Accountant/Contract

Learn more about the history of Leggett & Platt: https://leggett.com/history   So, what will you be doing as a Plant Accountant? · Lead branch accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, review and approval of financial statements, and ensuring proper internal controls. · Manage the financial close process and ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and compliance. · Perform local tax accounting and reporting, ensuring all tax-related requirements are met. · Complete corporate reporting requirements, both ongoing and ad hoc. · Maintain financial compliance with corporate and regulatory standards, including US GAAP and local statutory requirements. · Ensure the accuracy of financial data and support internal and external audits. · Respond to ad hoc requests and report requirements as necessary. To be successful in this role, you’ll need: · Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Professional designation (CPA, CMA) is preferred. · 5+ years of finance and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred). · Strong understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP · Proven experience leading the financial close process and issuing financial statements · Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) · Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal · Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines · Up to 5% (Local/Regional) Compensation Salary is $70,000.00.
