The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes. You will manage and drive technical and operational solutions in support of Lam’s Global Upgrades Business. You will d eliver Upgrades and Install base re-use/relocation solutions while working with our geographically diverse partners (Engineering, Product Management, Account Teams, BD, etc..) to provide solutions for our customers. What you’ll do
Drive alignment with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to define specific Upgrades BOM and Scope of Works, including technical BOM analysis, manufacturability, and execution strategy. Identify requirements and gaps in the install base with respect to its upgradeability to the forward build product and drive engineering solutions to close those gaps. Support plans to enable customer’s regionalization requirements with respect to Upgrades execution, such as developing onsite large tech upgrades/off-site factory solutions. Travel required. Provide the Product Lines with Technical support as required (Upgrades Scope of work and re-use strategies, & cost analysis). Coordinate with PG to develop strategies for Upgrade Paths upon new product introductions to ensure quick response to customer upgrade needs (Shift Left). Able to provide mentorship to the team with respect to targeted objectives such as cost reduction, upgrade execution paths, and project prioritization. Present project plans to senior management, gain buy in, and deliver results. Ensure best practices with respect to engineering, product development, and operational execution. Passion for standards, details and consistent design and documentation methods. Able to use a holistic mindset, coordinate with cross-functional teams of impacted stakeholders, and perform project management to completion, both on time and within budget. Who we’re looking for
BS Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial engineering with 15+ years experience; or a Master's degree with 12+ years experience; or a PhD with 8+ years experience; or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, field service engineering, or pilot engineering with a focus on equipment design, maintenance, or upgradeability. Exceptional knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment hardware, Lam equipment knowledge a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence, manage and drive results within a complex organizational environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and meet programs objectives. Experience with Hardware Configuration/Product Management preferred. Our commitment
