Job Overview The Business Intelligence Developer will develop reporting solutions that enable better decision-making across Marketing and partner teams. This role blends technical execution with emerging analytics trends, helping translate business questions into clear, accurate, and actionable outputs. Working within a cross-functional data environment, the BI Developer partners with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to support the end-to-end lifecycle of BI products, from dataset creation and data validation through dashboard delivery and maintenance. This position reports to the Director of Marketing Product Management, under the Vice President of Marketing Effectiveness. What You Will Do Data & Dashboard Development
Support creation and maintenance of Power BI datasets, dashboards, and reports Write and refine SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data Assist in building semantic models and ensuring metric definitions are consistent and accurate Contribute to dashboard UX, ensuring clarity, usability, and alignment to stakeholder needs Perform QA and validation checks to maintain data integrity across systems Maintain and update existing dashboards to ensure continued relevance and performance Understand and use AI and agentic solutions to improve report creation, validation, and maintenance Help document datasets, dashboards, and business logic for transparency and reuse Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to understand upstream data pipelines and dependencies, identifying root causes for data issues
Business Insights & Partnership
Identify trends, patterns, and insights within datasets and communicate findings clearly Support development of narratives and storytelling within dashboards and presentations Collaborate closely with BI developers and business partners (e.g., marketing stakeholders) Keep ahead of emerging trends in data, analytics, business intelligence, as well as AI and agentic solutions in this area
Skills You Will Need Technical Skills
Working knowledge of Power BI (data modeling, data integrity, DAX exposure, dashboard design) Foundational SQL skills for querying and data manipulation Understanding of data structures (tables, joins, schemas, metric logic) Well-versed in Excel and/or other BI tools (e.g., Tableau) Exposure to data pipelines or warehouse concepts is a plus
Analytical & Business Skills
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail Ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights Basic understanding of business metrics and performance measurement Strong communication skills; able to explain data in simple, clear terms Curiosity and willingness to build domain knowledge in marketing/product
Who You Are
1-3 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related field Experience building dashboards or working with structured datasets preferred Exposure to enterprise data environments in marketing, retail, or finance a plus Awareness of AI and agentic trends in reporting, analysis, and insights Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision. Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
