The Construction Coordinator role is to coordinate and manage all aspects of small to large size transmission and distribution construction projects. The role requires an individual with highly developed organization/communication skills and willingness to assume responsibility for project completion. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of project completion, including estimate preparation, project schedule development, engineering, procurement, internal/external resource management, resource safety, construction, cost tracking, invoice payment and project closeout. The position will also include additional responsibilities such as managing various work groups, special projects, and outage restoration efforts through participation on a storm team and/or field restoration efforts.
Main Responsibilities
Coordinates facets of work required to complete construction projects including materials, outage requests and follow up engineering review and redline documentation Work with other departments to ensure all easements and permits are obtained and current for construction schedule and relevant payments have been received Resolve and investigate customer and contractor issues as they arise Ensures contractor compliance with EHS through onsite inspections, safety walks, job audits and learning opportunities Promotes a positive, interactive safety culture Participates on a storm team and supports storm team operations as needed Qualifications: Education level: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or relevant discipline required. Excellent written and verbal communications skills required 2-4 years of relevant experience required preferably in Transmission Construction Work or Oversight/Supervision of Transmission projects. Language: English required. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office required \ SAP preferred.
