About this role
About the Role
Intel Government Technologies is seeking a senior Business Manager to help translate U.S. Government mission priorities and technology concepts into executable acquisition strategies, funded opportunities, and contractual outcomes. The role addresses a critical execution need: helping government program leaders and Intel teams move an idea from strategic intent through the acquisition control gates required to reach a formal solicitation, contract award, and successful execution. The Business Manager will bring deep knowledge of Department of Defense and government acquisition processes and the practical experience required to conceptualize, structure, and execute an acquisition plan. Working across Intel Government Technologies, Intel business units, government customers, and acquisition stakeholders, this leader will connect customer mission needs, acquisition pathways, Intel capabilities, and business priorities. The role will provide the structure, disciplined follow-through, and stakeholder alignment needed to move complex initiatives from conception toward closure.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with U.S. Government program managers and Intel teams to translate mission objectives and technology concepts into actionable acquisition and execution strategies. Develop and guide acquisition plans that identify the required activities, decision points, control gates, stakeholders, documentation, funding considerations, and contracting path. Provide practical guidance to Intel teams on how Department of Defense acquisition and contracting processes affect opportunity strategy, customer engagement, capture, and program execution. Serve as a key interface across government program offices, contracting organizations, technical stakeholders, Intel business units, and internal Intel Government Technologies teams. Improve Intel Government Technologies' acquisition readiness by developing repeatable frameworks, tools, and best-known methods that help teams navigate government acquisition processes. Provide senior leaders with clear assessments of acquisition status, critical decisions, execution risks, and the actions required to advance priority opportunities. Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II or III certification in Program Management, Contracting, Acquisition, or a related acquisition career field, or an equivalent certification through the Defense Acquisition University, Defense Systems Management College, War University, or a comparable institution. Significant leadership experience across government acquisition, technology strategy, program execution, systems architecture, semiconductor technology, foundry services, advanced packaging, or mission-critical electronic systems. Experience conceptualizing and executing acquisition plans and moving initiatives through government decision and control gates. Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior government officials, acquisition professionals, industry partners, technical leaders, and corporate executives. Success Profile The successful candidate understands how government acquisition works in practice, not only in theory. They can take an important but loosely defined mission or technology objective, identify the pathway required to move it forward, and align the government, contracting, technical, and business stakeholders needed to reach a concrete outcome. They combine acquisition credibility with business judgment, executive communication, and disciplined execution. They are comfortable operating without direct authority, navigating ambiguity, and creating enough structure and momentum to move an initiative from conception through solicitation, award, and transition to execution.
