What the job involves: We are currently seeking a Summer Intern in Junior Reliability & Asset Management Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will learn the fundamentals of reliability engineering, asset management best practices, and data-driven maintenance operations while supporting a large life science facility's Maintenance & Reliability Excellence Program. Approximately 90% of the workload will be field work , including physical tagging assets, verifying equipment specifications and locations, collecting attribute data (manufacturer, model, serial numbers, capacity, etc.), auditing and updating asset records, and identifying discrepancies between physical assets and database records. As a Summer Intern in Junior Reliability & Asset Management Engineering at JLL, you will: • Asset Tagging Initiative : Physically tag untagged equipment across the facility portfolio with standardized identification labels and document asset locations to support accurate tracking and maintenance planning. • Equipment Data Collection & Verification : Conduct field surveys to collect and verify asset attributes including manufacturer, model, serial numbers, nameplate specifications, physical conditions, and capacity to ensure database accuracy. • Database Audit & Cleanup : Identify discrepancies between physical assets and database records, update asset information in CMMS systems, and resolve data gaps or duplicate entries to improve operational decision-making. • Building Systems Performance Analysis : Monitor and analyze building systems performance data to identify reliability trends, potential failures, and opportunities for preventive and predictive maintenance improvements. • Documentation & Reporting : Develop field data collection templates and procedures, document equipment performance and maintenance activities, and maintain accurate records to support ongoing asset management quality standards. Program Details • Dates : Summer 2027 • Location : North Brunswick, NJ Education, Skills, and Experience • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field), or Associate's degree with relevant technical certifications. • Technical Knowledge : Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems (HVAC, power distribution, plumbing, fire safety) and familiarity with reliability engineering principles. • Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting. • Communication & Collaboration : Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional
