C-17 Support Equipment Technician Company: Boeing Operations International Incorporated Kuwait This position is for a C-17 Support Equipment (SE) Technician to coordinate the maintenance and calibration of the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) Support Equipment in support of C-17 Field Services based at Al-Mubarak Air Base in Kuwait City and will require relocation to Kuwait.  At Boeing, we are all innovators on a mission to connect, protect, explore and inspire. Responsibilities: - The successful applicant will coordinate C-17 SE maintenance requirements and will plan, research, develop, analyze and retrofit repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. - They will also define the procedures, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repairs of delivered products. - They will plan and coordinate modifications, maintenance, and repair of enterprise products and assist engineering staff in planning and incorporating improvements. - Responsible for assisting project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to SE maintenance, modifications, calibration, proof load test and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements. - Will review and recommend projects and proposals or aircraft Support Equipment modification. - Required to assist in moderately complex or multiple projects, and develop, coordinate and forecast requirements. - Will monitor project performance and risks and take necessary corrective action. - Maintains equipment and systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components. - Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components. - Conducts complex functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment. - Performs a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents. - Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required. - Assist in tool room processes and have knowledge of TCMAX or other tool control programs. Maintain tools, Hazmat, PMEL, weight check and other position requirements as directed by management or Boeing to fulfill customer and contractual requirements.  - Maintain database records for equipment status, spare part demands and the spare tool program. - Trains and resolves problems for less experienced technicians. - Works under general direction.

(Required Skills/Experience): A minimum of 5 years experience maintaining aircraft support equipment A minimum of 3 years experience maintaining Ground Support Equipment for US Air Force and/or Boeing aircraft.

(Desired Skills/Experience) Ability to troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components and conduct complex functional tests by operating ground support equipment using appropriate test tools. Candidate should be able to perform a variety of inspections as required and must be familiar with the associated documentation program. Knowledge of USAF Technical Orders and Forms. Ability to operate forklift, crane and other vehicles as required Demonstrated proficiency with database entry software systems and Microsoft operating system, including Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. Candidate should be able to perform a variety of inspections as required and must be familiar with the documentation program (e.g. AFI 21-101, 00-20-1, etc.).   Typical Education/Experience High school diploma or GED and typically 5 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred   Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
