Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Staff Systems - Nuclear Hardness & Survivability Engineer to join the team. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. The successful candidate will join the Nuclear Hardness & Survivability (NH&S) team in Colorado Springs, Co and oversee the Radiation Lot Acceptance Test campaign being performed in Colorado Springs. The candidate will be required to design test circuits, develop test levels in accordance with system requirements and oversee test execution and trouble shooting. Additionally the candidate will be expected to provide MBSE support to the Sentinel thread lead. The candidate will contribute to the successful development of the world’s most advanced weapon system in one or more of the following ways: Defining NH&S environments Radiation effects circuit analysis Effects of electromagnetic pulses on electronics NHS qualification testing and analysis of semiconductors NHS qualification testing and analysis of the Sentinel systems, subsystems and equipment NHS qualification requirement and Survivability thread support Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 12 Years with Bachelors in Science; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need Weapon System Experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience) Has worked or performed Radiation Lot Acceptance Testing in accordance with MIL-STD-1766 Can design test circuits for CCA level testing at dose-rate facilities Understanding of AVE and C&L survivability level 1-7 system requirements and qualification MBSE Experience (CAMEO and DOORS) Preferred Qualifications: Weapon System Experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience) Knowledge of the Sentinel Survivability thread requirements Knowledge of the Sentinel system architecture Knowledge of semi-conductor lot procurement, storage and testing Exceptional knowledge of MIL-STD-1766C requirements and execution Position Benefits As a full-time
