Join the QuickBooks Canada Communications team for an exciting opportunity as a social Media co-op. The Canadian communications team is looking for a social media intern with a passion for storytelling across our 10 social media channels. We are a small, but mighty team of communicators spanning PR, influencers and social working across multiple functions (marketing, product, care and sales) and global teams to build our brand awareness, affinity and consideration of QuickBooks with customer storytelling at the heart. The ideal candidate has a combination of digital savvy skills who can thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This candidate is positive with a collaborative approach, a strategic, creative, self-directed thinker who is eager to learn the craft of social media in a tech organization and is ready to make a difference to power prosperity for Canadian small businesses.

Responsibilities

Support the execution of our QuickBooks and Accountants social media strategy to elevate the brand among Canadian small businesses, bookkeepers, and accountants. Craft and refine engaging written content specifically for social media platforms. Drive community engagement on our QuickBooks and Accountants social media channels through comment moderation, listening, and engagement. Monitor and report on social media performance, and support the creation of social media assets. Identify and capitalize on social media trends to enhance our brand presence and facilitate internal communication updates on campaigns.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring: A collaborative spirit with the ability to partner with brand social and marketing teams to create impactful social media narratives. Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Express, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, InShot, CapCut, Snapseed) and AI literacy (e.g., ability to use AI tools for content creation or analysis). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a passion for visual storytelling optimized for social media. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating diplomacy, integrity, and presence for effective cross-functional collaboration. A self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills, flexibility, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced digital environment. Eligibility Requirements: Actively enrolled in a post-secondary education program. A graduation date after the co-op term ends. Available for a 8-month (September-April) or a 12-month co-op work term (September- August) Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the co-op term, without requiring sponsorship now
