IT Wellsite Infrastructure

Data & Infrastructure Engineer   Location: Mexico City, Mexico   Key Responsibilities   Provide L1/L2 support for wellsite infrastructure and digital drilling applications.   Support deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of EDGE devices and associated systems.   Configure and maintain network connectivity, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and IP addressing.   Monitor and troubleshoot data interfaces such as WITSML, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, and related protocols.   Manage incidents, service requests, escalations, and technical documentation through ServiceNow.   Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, product, and field operations teams to ensure service continuity.   Participate in rig onboarding, deployment readiness activities, and infrastructure support projects.   Maintain operational procedures, knowledge articles, and technical documentation.

Education:   4 yrs IT related degree   English Level:  Fluent / conversational level.

3 to 10 yrs in n etworking, infrastructure support, systems administration, or technical operations environments.   Experience providing L1/L2 technical support .   Experience network deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.   Exposure to industrial networks, operational technology (OT), or real-time operational environments is preferred.   Experience working in a 24/7 support environment is desirable.   CCNA certification is required.     Technical Skills   Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, Routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, and network troubleshooting .   Experience with firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and network security concepts .   Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as WITSML, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, or Serial Communications .   Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi or KVM is desirable.   Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.   Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.   Competencies   Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.   Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.   Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.   Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.   Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
