The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team partners across the AIG organization to inform strategic decision-making and to facilitate rational risk-taking that drives profitable growth. ERM ensures we have the right tools, processes and systems in place to identify, measure and manage our risks. How you will create an impact This is a high exposure program leadership role supporting the General Manager Australia (Chair of the CORE+ Task Force), and the Chief Risk Officer Pacific (Vice Chair of the CORE+ Task Force). The Program Director will provide the operating rhythm, program controls, stakeholder coordination and delivery oversight needed to execute the CORE+ Action Plan and drive tangible, sustainable outcomes. AIG’s CORE+ Program – Client Outcomes, Risk Excellence, and more (+) – is the consolidated non-financial risk (NFR) uplift program. It has been established to bring together AIG’s efforts to strengthen governance, accountabilities, organisational design, risk culture and capability, enterprise risk and controls management, and underwriting / managing general agency (MGA) governance across the business in Australia, and New Zealand where relevant. The role will work closely with CORE+ Task Force and workstream members, Australian and New Zealand leadership teams, the Board, AIG Group and AIG regional stakeholders, as well as Risk, Internal Audit, Legal, Compliance and HR, as well as any external advisers where engaged. Key accountabilities will include but not limited to: Mobilise and maintain the CORE+ Action Plan, roadmap and governance framework. Coordinate delivery across all workstreams, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and decisions. Prepare executive, Board and regulator-facing reporting, submissions and decision papers. Oversee remediation evidence, closure criteria, validation activities and BAU embedment. Drive stakeholder communication, governance effectiveness and transparent escalation. Maintain program controls, audit trails and delivery reporting to support regulatory outcomes. What you’ll need to succeed Proven leadership of complex regulatory remediation, risk transformation, governance uplift, or enterprise-wide change programs in heavily regulated environments. Extensive program delivery capability, including integrated planning, governance, executive reporting, RAID management, dependency tracking, and evidence-based execution. Credible stakeholder management across senior executives, business leaders, Board members, control functions, advisers, and regulators. Strong understanding of non-financial risk including operational risk, governance, accountability, risk culture, and control effectiveness. Sound commercial judgement, prioritisation skills, and confidence to escalate issues proactively and constructively. Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution, maintaining momentum across multiple workstreams while managing sensitive information with discretion. Calm, pragmatic and delivery-focused, with sound judgement and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Strong communicator and collaborator, able to build stakeholder confidence while driving accountability and outcomes. Operates with integrity and discretion, maintaining high standards of governance, quality and execution in fast-paced environments.
