Job Requisition ID # 26WD100540 Position Overview The Principal Applications Engineer designs and delivers scalable, maintainable enterprise applications and extensions within the SAP S/4HANA focused on BRIM. The engineer combines strong engineering expertise with modern SAP development practices, including ABAP Cloud, CDS, RAP, APIs and Clean Core extensibility. This is a hands-on senior engineering role responsible not only for implementation, but also for technical design, modernization of legacy solutions, and mentoring other engineers Responsibilities Provide technical expertise in discussions with internal stakeholders during blueprint requirements gathering, solution/design sign off, the demo of the configured solution, and final UAT sign off for any project Solve complex problems that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors by taking a broad perspective to identify the best approach and innovative solutions Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge, strong understanding of application frameworks and infrastructure Work with integration tools and reporting tools to ensure the correct system to system communication Well versed with automated testing, debugging, performance analysis and code-quality tooling Prepare and maintain technical specifications, configuration documents, test plans and other documentation as per feature requirements Excellent knowledge of one or more S/4HANA functional domains such as Finance, Order-to-Cash Experience with SAP BRIM including the SOM and CI modules Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of professional software development experience proficient in SAP application development and implementation Deep knowledge of distributed systems architecture, microservices design, RESTful APIs and cloud platforms like SAP BTP Must have experience in technical documentation and coordinating application enhancements Ability to work independently and collaboratively across IT and business teams using Agile methodologies Demonstrated ability to lead technical design, drive code reviews, define deliverables, and ensure milestones are met within approved scope Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related discipline Learn More About Autodesk Welcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $126,400 and $226,490. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
