HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE… As a Plant Services Sanitation Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and food-safe manufacturing environment. Your work will help ensure production equipment, facility areas, and sanitation programs meet company, customer, and regulatory standards. Through effective cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping practices, you will directly support product quality, employee safety, and operational success. This position also offers a career progression pathway to a Plant Services Specialist role for employees who successfully complete required training and remain in good standing. WHAT YOU WILL DO… Perform sanitation of food processing equipment in accordance with established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Complete end-of-production, end-of-week, equipment changeover, facility sanitation, and master cleaning assignments. Properly mix, dilute, and apply cleaning chemicals following label instructions and company procedures. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety requirements, and food safety standards at all times. Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Follow lockout/tagout procedures and complete all required safety training. Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties, including mopping, sweeping, and maintaining facility cleanliness. Refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other facility supplies as needed. Operate auto floor scrubbers and other sanitation equipment throughout the facility. Support facility hygiene initiatives and master sanitation schedules. Maintain compliance with fall protection, aerial lift, confined space, and other required safety programs. Report sanitation, safety, equipment, or facility concerns to leadership. Assist with special cleaning projects and other assigned duties as directed by Plant Services leadership. Support sanitation schedules that may require working weekends and varying scheduled days off during the week. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH… Plant Services Night Operations (N.O.) Shift Lead Plant Services Manager Production Team Members Quality Assurance and Food Safety Personnel Maintenance Teams Cross-Functional Plant Operations Staff WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE) High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Ability to understand and follow sanitation procedures, safety requirements, and food safety standards. Ability to safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals according to established procedures. Ability to wear required PPE and work in a manufacturing environment. Ability to complete and maintain required certifications and training, including: Lockout/Tagout Fall Protection Aerial Lift Operation Confined Space Safety Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Ability to work weekends and maintain a flexible schedule to support sanitation requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to perform physical cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE) Previous manufacturing, production, or food processing experience. Food service, food handling, or sanitation experience. Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment, including auto floor scrubbers. Familiarity with GMPs, SSOPs, and food safety programs.
