JOB DESCRIPTION
The Outbound Operations Clerk supports all outbound warehouse activities across assigned shifts. The role works closely with the outbound operations manager and supervisors to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient processing of outbound orders. Responsibilities include administrative support to operations, reporting, inventory-related tasks, and coordination with warehouse and transportation teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties and day‑to‑day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Organize and manage workflow using warehouse management, labor management, inventory, and transportation systems, as applicable. Provide clerical support to outbound operations teams, including reviewing documents, entering data, and maintaining records. Prepare daily and periodic operational reports for warehouse and transportation leadership. Produce general communications for distribution within the operations department. Assist with inventory‑related activities, including tracking, product weight verification, inventory reconciliation, and related system updates. Perform auditor or verification duties in coordination with order selectors, forklift operators, and warehouse associates. Prepare and distribute paperwork for all delivery vehicles and outbound routes. Support environmental and safety initiatives while operating with a minimal environmental impact and awareness of operational hazards, incidents, and environmental spills. Immediately report unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents, or environmental issues according to established procedures. Demonstrate a strong understanding of personal safety responsibilities and speak up when hazards are present. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Education
High school Diploma Qualifications: Minimum 1-year experience in distribution environment · Exposure to ERP or Warehouse Management Systems is required Knowledge and Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate is preferred) Willing and able to work non-standard hours Sysco is committed to Employment Equity.
