Shifts
We require that you are flexible to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and holidays. Schedule assignments upon hire are determined by plant needs. Regular schedule is 8-hour shifts; Mandatory overtime could be weekly (scheduled for up to 12 hours/day, Monday through Sunday), daily (additional 4 hours on your 8-hour shift) and weekends (8 to 12-hour shifts).

Summary: The Memphis Plant of The Hershey Company has immediate openings for Industrial Maintenance Technician II to work in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Maintenance technicians are skilled in electrical and mechanical and utility maintenance. Maintenance technicians' primary role is to maintain and optimize manufacturing equipment and systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Electrical:
Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of basic electricity and electronics Demonstrate an understanding of the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70-E Demonstrate an understanding of occupation-specific safety standards and procedures Demonstrate ability to plan layout of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures consistent with specifications and local codes Demonstrate proper techniques used to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduits Demonstrate proper techniques used to install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, outlets, relays, and circuit-breaker panels Demonstrate proper techniques used to connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, lighting fixtures, thermostats, intercoms, signaling systems, power equipment, or other components Demonstrate proper technique used to check circuit connections to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components Diagnose and repair or replace malfunctioning apparatus and components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, fuses, motors, generators, and fixtures
Mechanical
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age 2nd (2pm - 10pm) or 3rd (10pm – 6am) Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime Must be authorized to work in the United States Must possess either a journeyman's card from a state approved apprenticeship program or a minimum of 5 - 7 years of hands on electrical and mechanical work in manufacturing
