Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Management team in  Portland, OR.   Work Schedule:    Tuesday - Saturday 3:00am-11:30am, Rotating Sunday Coverage if needed.

Job Responsibilities

Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.   Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications   Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner.   Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.   Provide customer education and information as needed.   Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.   Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.   Accurately identify and label specimens.   Pack and ship specimens as necessary.   Prepare and store excess specimen samples.

Minimum Qualification

High School Diploma or GED equivalent        Preferred   Qualification:   Current or prior Labcorp experience   Associates degree    6 months of   experience   in a   medical/clinical laboratory experience   Additional Job Standard s   Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal   Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures    Comfortable handling biological specimens   Ability to accurately identify specimens   Experience working in a team environment   Strong data entry and organizational skills   High level of attention to detail   Proficient   in MS Office   Ability to   lift up   to 40lbs.    Able to pass a standardized color blindness test    Benefits:  Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. For more detailed information, please   click here .     Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer: Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
