Role
Definition The Manufacturing Engineer supports major process development and capital projects that improve manufacturing safety, quality, velocity, cost effectiveness and production capability. The position leads the technical selection , acquisition, installation and startup of CNC machining centers and related manufacturing systems for the Santa Catarina facility. The role contributes to the business by translating product and process requirements into equipment specifications, coordinating suppliers and internal functions, and implementing new manufacturing capacity. Its general scope spans technical evaluation, CAPEX development, equipment procurement, plant integration, commissioning and process stabilization.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical evaluation and selection of CNC machining centers according to the product and manufacturing process requirements. Develop and coordinate capital expenditure projects, including technical scope, cost estimates, schedules, risks and implementation milestones. Manage the acquisition of machinery, production equipment and supporting systems in coordination with internal and external suppliers. Define equipment specifications and evaluate proposed product and process designs to determine technical feasibility and required modifications. Coordinate equipment installation, plant integration, commissioning, process startup and validation activities. Apply machining process and CNC programming knowledge to support turnkey equipment solutions and successful production launch. Prepare and maintain manufacturing layouts, technical drawings and engineering documentation using AutoCAD or equivalent CAD tools. Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing and suppliers to resolve implementation issues and stabilize new processes.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline. English: Intermediate proficiency required to communicate with international suppliers, review technical documentation and support global project activities.
