Raytheon's Field Engineering team is looking for Senior Field IT Radar Specialist to join our team in Moorestown, NJ. Our Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) program is a team of professionals who are developing and fielding the most advanced shipboard radar. You will be responsible for all onsite activities up to and including hardware and software integration, test, verification, troubleshooting, repair, and operations of an advanced radar system.
Position
Location - Moorestown, NJ. Schedule will rotate between 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. Ability to travel to offsite CONUS locations. May require travel for multiple months and extended hours.
What You Will Do
Support radar operations, integration, and testing. Operate the radar in support of integration and test activities. Document issues and support system troubleshooting of software and hardware Interface with Technical SMEs to support issue resolution and troubleshooting. Support HW installations and activations as needed. Perform SW installation (Builds/Overlays). Perform data transfers and archiving to and from classified network. Review, generate and maintain reports, logs, and various documentation. Support all other site activities as instructed by the Site and Integration Lead. Operate and maintain site specific instruments for system operations including test equipment. Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 10%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations. Support shipboard testing at sea.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Experience working with Redhat X86 servers, IT Networking and / or Linux / UNIX. Experience conducting troubleshooting and support resolution of system issues. Experience working with drawings, schematics, diagrams, procedures, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
We Prefer Good verbal and written skills. Able to work autonomously (self-starter) and as part of a diverse site team. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of desktop application software especially OneNote. Experience with Radar System operations, maintenance, and performance analysis. Experience with MATLAB. Operate and maintain the SPY-6(V)1 radar system. Conduct system level testing of the SPY-6(V)1 with BL10 Aegis Weapon System. Maintain configuration of SPY-6 (V)1 System. Prior Shipyard and/or shipboard experience with ability to interface with customers (Navy), contractors and other government personnel.
