About the Role
The Global Media Operations Associate Director is a governance-led operational leader responsible for driving standardisation, compliance, and operational excellence across the Diageo account in 70+ markets. This role is centred on embedding global governance frameworks across campaign taxonomy, planning systems, buying tools, and reporting infrastructure. You will ensure markets consistently apply global standards across core platforms including Omni, PlanIt, Omni Governance (Grasp), and Sprinklr, safeguarding data integrity, transparency, and operational compliance. You will act as the central governance authority, ensuring that global operational principles translate into disciplined local execution. This includes defining taxonomy structures, enforcing tool adoption standards, monitoring compliance, and educating markets to build long-term capability and consistency. This is a highly visible role requiring authority, clarity, and the ability to influence at scale.
About you
You are a governance-focused media agency professional with deep operational experience across planning and activation systems. You understand how structured taxonomy and disciplined tool usage underpin accurate reporting, financial reconciliation, and campaign transparency. You have experience working across regional or global accounts, driving standards across multiple markets with varying levels of operational maturity. You are confident holding markets accountable while maintaining strong collaborative relationships. You are highly detail-oriented and comfortable auditing data, identifying inconsistencies, and implementing structured corrective actions. You understand platforms such as Omni, PlanIt, Omni Governance (Grasp), and Sprinklr, or comparable systems, and appreciate how governance directly impacts business performance. You are a strong communicator who can translate technical governance requirements into clear, practical guidance for markets. You are confident presenting to senior stakeholders and managing upward when risks or non-compliance issues arise.
