About the department Our Private Asset Operations team is looking for an individual who is interested in working with assets that are not listed, not liquid, not standardized, and not fully supported by custodian banks or traditional market vendors. The Private Asset Operations team works closely with Legal, Trading, Portfolio Managers, custodians, transfer agents, and other internal and external partners to support the full operational lifecycle of private investments. When companies such as SpaceX, Anthropic, or OpenAI appear in the news, our team may already have been working behind the scenes. We support transactions from the initial legal documentation review, through trade settlement and cash funding, to restriction removal, corporate action processing, and preparation of the asset for potential public trading. How you will add value Core Responsibilities You will review legal and operational documentation for newly signed private market transactions. You will coordinate wire transfers and funding for private deals. You will support trade booking, settlement, and position reconciliation. You will analyze legal restrictions, lock-up periods, legends, and transferability requirements. You will coordinate restriction and legend removal with internal and external legal teams, custodians, transfer agents, and issuers. You will identify settlement routes for assets that do not have standard settlement routes. You will process corporate actions affecting private assets. You will support cash management activities related to private investments. You will turn a “simple private placement” into a controlled, well-documented, and successfully completed transaction. What will help you be successful in this role Experience, Education & Certifications Experience in investment operations, asset servicing, trade support, custody, corporate actions, or related functions. Interest in private markets and non-standard investment structures. Experience managing transactions with limited or evolving processes. Technical Skills Ability to review legal documentation and identify operational implications. Understanding of custody, ownership records, accounting positions, and transfer agent reporting. Knowledge of settlement, funding, and asset servicing activities. Soft Skills Strong communication skills across Front Office, Legal, Trading, and Operations teams. Proactive problem-solving mindset and ownership of complex issues. Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments. Curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to challenge assumptions.
