What you’ll do We’re looking for a Compliance Operations Associate to join our Compliance team and support the risk-based review of business customer onboarding across Latin America (Brazil, Colombia and Mexico). This is an execution-focused role for someone who enjoys investigating cases, reviewing corporate documentation, managing a high-volume queue, and producing clear, evidence-based recommendations. You will report directly to Compliance leadership and work closely with Sales Ops, Fraud, and Credit while preserving Compliance’s independent assessment.
• Analyze cases within the Risk Pipeline, reviewing KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, corporate structures, Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBO), legal representatives, and powers of attorney.
• Review the evidence available in ClarOps, identifying inconsistencies, missing documentation, and information that requires further validation.
• Assess relevant alerts and inputs from Fraud and Credit while independently applying Compliance policies and criteria.
• Conduct research using reliable public sources and databases when the available evidence is insufficient or inconsistent.
• Recommend whether cases should be approved, returned to Sales Ops, rejected, or escalated, according to established policies and levels of authority.
• Escalate complex, unusual, or higher-risk cases to Compliance leadership with a clear summary of the facts, evidence, risks, and recommended course of action.
• Draft clear, objective, and traceable case notes in Spanish, maintaining an appropriate audit trail.
• Manage the assigned case queue and meet agreed service levels without compromising the quality of the analysis.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to improvements in procedures, playbooks, controls, and operational workflows.
Who you are We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
