Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Engineer to lead software execution, platform integration, productization, and commercialization of next-generation Snapdragon SoCs. The role requires strong ownership, cross-functional leadership, and hands-on problem solving to drive successful silicon bring-up, feature readiness, quality, performance, and customer launches.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Execution & Productization Own end-to-end execution of Core Platform deliverables across multiple SoC programs. Drive feature readiness, software milestones, risk management, and program execution. Lead platform bring-up from pre-silicon validation through production and customer launch. Ensure timely closure of critical software, firmware, and system integration issues. Cross-Functional Leadership Coordinate execution across HW, Systems, BSP, Security, Camera, Audio, Connectivity, AI, and OEM teams. Drive issue prioritization, dependency management, and release readiness. Lead cross-team technical reviews, war rooms, and execution tracking forums. Influence stakeholders to achieve program commitments and business goals. Debug & Problem Resolution Lead triage and resolution of complex product issues spanning boot, power, performance, memory, stability, and subsystem interactions. Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for critical customer and commercialization issues. Establish robust debug methodologies and execution processes. Quality & Delivery Excellence Drive software quality, stability, and KPI improvements. Monitor execution metrics, identify risks early, and implement mitigation plans. Improve engineering productivity through process, automation, and operational excellence initiatives. Own release readiness and ensure successful product deliveries.
Team
Leadership Mentor engineers and technical leads. Build execution culture focused on accountability, quality, and customer success. Lead large cross-functional efforts where outcomes depend on alignment across multiple organizations.
Required Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 12+ years of embedded software development, integration, or product engineering experience. Strong expertise in C/C++ and system-level debugging. Experience with SoC bring-up, commercialization, and product launches. Strong understanding of Linux/Android, firmware, device drivers, boot flows, power management, and system software. Demonstrated ability to lead execution across multiple teams and deliver complex programs. What Success Looks Like Consistently delivers high-quality software milestones and product launches. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
