As a Core Billing Product Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in building the foundation for Google's global commerce ecosystem. You'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with teams across the company, shaping how businesses and consumers interact with our products and services on a massive scale. Your work will directly impact the seamlessness, security, and compliance of Google's financial transactions worldwide. Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Support PRDs by collaborating with partner teams (e.g., engineers, PgMs, UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements. Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Google's core billing infrastructure, ensuring it scales to support our growing global business and product offerings. Articulate defined product vision in a way that captures attention and compels others to drive action despite obstacles and competing priorities. Validate the market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, strategic opportunity, revenue). Identify opportunities in the market landscape. Facilitate launches, maintenance, and retirement in collaboration with other cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role. 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.). 1 year of experience working in Fintech or on payments products. Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a technology or business related field. 2 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting). 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership. 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders. 1 year of experience in software development or engineering. Knowledge of, or continued interest in building accessibility best practices, and experience/curiosity for incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies.
