As a Senior Software Engineer on the Catalyst Team within Medtronic Patient Care Systems (PCS), you will provide technical leadership in advancing software verification, test automation, and DevOps capabilities that support our connected cardiac care ecosystem. The Catalyst team develops and enhances test automation and tooling solutions leveraging technologies such as Appium and internal frameworks to improve testing efficiency, reliability, and scalability across the CRM software ecosystem. In this role, you will design and build scalable automation frameworks, influence engineering best practices, and collaborate closely with R&D, software engineering, and quality partners to improve software quality, delivery predictability, and compliance in a regulated medical device environment. A Day in The Life Of: Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable software solutions across a range of domains, including libraries and developer tools. Develop and maintain libraries and developer tools that support software verification. Partner with R&D and quality teams to translate technical needs into maintainable software solutions. Improve the usability, reliability, performance, and compatibility of libraries and tools. Support the integration, validation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of the team’s software products. Create and maintain technical documentation, usage examples, and integration guidance. Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a collaborative, learning focused team environment. Senior-Level Expectations Leadership & Influence Contribute to technical decisions involving library design, developer tooling, and engineering practices. Partner with users and stakeholders to understand their underlying needs and translate them into practical, maintainable solutions. Use technical judgment to balance user flexibility with consistency, long-term supportability, and safeguards against unintended use. Provide technical guidance and support to peers, users of the team's software, and project partners. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams and leadership in a matrixed organization.
