The Asset Business Delivery Reservoir Engineer is responsible and accountable for delivering technical support to the business to enable asset growth through brownfield and post-initial investment decision greenfield opportunities. The successful candidate should have broad general experience delivering dynamic subsurface characterization, including well and surveillance data integration, simulation model construction, production forecasting, resource maturation, and technology deployment.  Role will maintain close collaboration with peers on asset teams, Asset Business Delivery and Center of Excellence verticals within Subsurface and Capital Projects teams to support reservoir characterization, development planning, and execution planning. Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.  A bout the position The Asset Geologist supports development planning, reservoir characterization, subsurface uncertainty reduction, and value optimization for shale and tight assets. This role develops integrated geologic interpretations and decision-support products by combining geological, geophysical, petrophysical, engineering, production, and external benchmark data. The successful candidate will work closely with global asset teams and technical specialists to support field development decisions, improve well performance, identify development opportunities, and improve understanding of subsurface risk and uncertainty. The role is expected to influence development decisions and business outcomes through direct collaboration with global asset teams and technical specialists. This role provides opportunities to apply digital technologies, analytics, and workflow improvements that accelerate technical decision making and business value delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop integrated geologic frameworks, reservoir characterization studies, maps, and interpretation products that support field development planning and reservoir management. Integrate geological, geophysical, petrophysical, production, completion, and engineering datasets to improve understanding of reservoir performance and development opportunities. Support well planning activities, including landing target recommendations, spacing evaluations, development sequencing, and risk mitigation . Conduct uncertainty assessments and recommend surveillance, appraisal, and data acquisition programs that improve decision quality. Evaluate well performance trends and integrate geologic learnings into development recommendations and forecasting workflows. Perform competitor benchmarking and external analog evaluations to identify value-creation opportunities and improve development planning assumptions.
