About Newmont
Newmont Tanami is located on Aboriginal freehold land approximately 540km northwest of Alice Springs and is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset within a core Newmont region.
The Tanami Expansion 2 (TE2) project is extending mine life beyond 2040 through the development of a hoisting shaft, increasing underground production from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. Strong underground exploration results and the successful delivery of the first Tanami Expansion have positioned Tanami as a major contributor to the Newmont global portfolio.
A fully equipped accommodation village is located 40km from site, offering a range of leisure facilities for employees flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.
