At Thornbury Community Services, we believe every person deserves the chance to live life to the fullest. We’re looking for adult nurses who want to make a real difference - helping people stay safe, achieve their goals, discover new hobbies, and enjoy experiences that matter most to them.
Your role goes beyond clinical care. You’ll build trust with individuals and their families, create safe environments, and empower individuals to take trips, learn new skills, and thrive at home and in their community. Every shift is an opportunity to change a life.
Why This Role Matters
Joining Thornbury means being part of something bigger - giving individuals the chance to grow, learn, and experience joy despite complex health needs.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Nurses to join a skilled care team supporting a young adult with complex clinical and social needs in her own home. This rewarding role focuses on delivering life-enhancing, person-centred care that promotes independence, wellbeing, and meaningful daily experiences. You will work collaboratively alongside an established team of care professionals, family members, and personal health assistants to provide exceptional support.
Candidates must be comfortable working in a home environment with cats, dogs, and other pets. A full driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential due to the location and shift requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for ongoing shifts within a supportive, community-based care setting where they can make a genuine difference every day.
We're seeking nurses who are
• Compassionate and resilient, with a genuine passion for individualised care.
• Experienced in UK complex care (minimum 6 months in the last 2 years).
• Skilled in key areas such as respiratory support, medication management and intra-muscular medication administration.
Your Benefits as a TCS Nurse
We value our nurses and offer a package designed to support your career and wellbeing:
• Professional Development: Access to free CPD and support with revalidation.
• 24/7 Support: Clinical and operational teams available whenever you need them.
• Employee Assistance Programme: Round-the-clock wellbeing support.
• Upskilling: Access to refresher courses and practical skills sessions.
