Summer Intern - System Engineer - Indianapolis, Indiana The System Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting the System Engineering team for the Locks and Access Solutions business unit. As a System Engineering Intern, you will receive hands-on experience in the application of Systems Engineering principles while work alongside our experienced Systems Engineers to contribute to the development and enhancement of our security products. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.
What You Will Do
Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies. Support the development and integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems. Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project requirements and progress. Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system requirements, interface definitions, and system block diagrams. Assist in the verification of requirements and structured problem solving activities. Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues. What You Need to Succeed: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Strong interest in Systems Engineering and its applications. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Why Work for Us?
