Job Duties and Responsibilities Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview. This role solves complex financial management challenges by bridging the gap between IT engineering operations and enterprise financial planning. The position addresses departmental needs for accurate budget ownership, cost transparency, and variance analysis across capital and operating expenditures. Additionally, it resolves issues surrounding technology cost allocation, multi-year vendor commitment risks, and the optimization of IT performance metrics. What Success Looks Like (Objectives): Own the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and month-end financial summaries while aligning capital and operating expenses with broader departmental roadmaps Drive IT cost transparency by executing Technology Business Management practices, maintaining taxonomy integrity, and managing defensible showback/chargeback models for business units Evaluate project investments using total-cost-of-ownership analyses and strategic financial presentations to guide leadership decision-making Build numerical frameworks and KPI scorecards that accurately benchmark IT cost-efficiency and operational performance over time Leverage AI tools and automated financial modeling to continuously optimize forecasting cycle times and surface cost-saving opportunities Reconcile vendor accounts, oversee multi-year commitment lifecycles, and provide predictive modeling to reduce overall technology financial risk Skills, Experience and Requirements Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring): Advanced expertise in enterprise financial planning, GAAP accrual accounting, and complex financial modeling using Excel and modern ITFM/TBM tooling Proven success managing technology cost drivers, capital versus operating expense treatments, and multi-year vendor contract lifecycles Strong analytical rigor and problem-solving abilities to synthesize ambiguous technical data into concrete financial strategies Outstanding cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills to bridge perspectives between IT technical leaders and executive management High adaptability in fast-paced environments with a continuous focus on process improvement, data integrity, and dashboard refinement Practical AI application skills to streamline financial data processing, report generation, and predictive variance analysis Additional Qualifications: Certified TBM Analyst (CTBA) designation or active pursuit of certification Active CPA or CMA professional certification Hands-on experience using Apptio Cost Transparency, ServiceNow ITFM, or equivalent IT financial platforms Minimum Requirements: Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field Minimum Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis or accounting, preferably within the technology or telecom sectors Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 4 years of experience with: Enterprise financial planning and reporting systems such as Oracle, OneStream, SmartView, Essbase, or Adaptive Planning Advanced MS Excel modeling, including Power Query Technology Business Management (TBM) cost structures and IT cost allocation models
