About this opportunity We are looking for a Financial Accounting and Tax Specialist to join our team. You will ensure U.S. compliance with Federal, State, and local tax regulations. The Tax Specialist will play a key part in mitigating tax risks, delivering accurate tax reporting, and maintaining financial and legal integrity within a dynamic multinational environment. The role reports to the Head of Financial Compliance and Accounting and Tax Manager. What you will do: Prepare and review Federal, State, and local tax returns for U.S. entities Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax filings and maintain compliance with IRS regulations and State tax authorities Monitor changes in tax legislation and update internal processes accordingly Manage withholding tax obligations and quarterly estimated State and Local tax payments Prepare tax calculations and postings, including prior-year adjustments, current-year tax accounting, quarterly provision calculations, and responses to Group Tax inquiries Support tax audits and dispute resolution by gathering documentation as requested by auditors and tax authorities Drive direct tax process improvements and automation initiatives Manage Transfer Pricing, ensuring proper documentation and compliance Location: Plano, Texas. The skills you bring: You must have: At least 3 years of U.S. corporate tax compliance experience (Federal and State corporate income tax) in a large public accounting or corporate environment Experience managing multi-state filings and exposure to tax audits Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Taxation (required); master’s in taxation preferred Knowledge of U.S. Federal Income Tax, SALT, and foundational international tax; familiarity with IFRS (IAS 12, IAS 37, IAS 20). Proficiency with CorpTax, SAP, Advanced Excel, and data analytics tools (Power BI) Strong analytical skills, ability to meet strict deadlines, and high ethical standards Clear communication skills with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies It would be nice if you also have: CPA designation is highly preferred; MST (Master of Science in Taxation) is a plus Experience in multinational environments is a plus Knowledge of Sales & Use tax is a plus Why join Ericsson?
