Real Estate Consultant – JLL What this job involves: Join JLL's Public Institutions group as a Real Estate Consultant supporting our Air Force Portfolio Management team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of managing a $15 billion portfolio of Public-Private Partnership assets, working directly with the Air Force Civil Engineering Center's Housing Privatization program. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical national infrastructure while developing expertise in large-scale P3 projects that serve those who serve our country. You'll be part of a specialized team of 800+ professionals with a proven track record of success across 200+ government and higher education clients, gaining exposure to complex real estate operations, financial analysis, and public sector consulting that will accelerate your career in commercial real estate. What your day-to-day will look like: Provide strategic advisory support to JLL team leads and Department of Defense clients on all operational, financial, and legal compliance aspects of large-scale Public-Private Partnership projects. Prepare and deliver comprehensive quarterly reports including asset performance metrics, compliance documentation, property operations analysis, and account status updates for Air Force stakeholders. Conduct financial analysis and due diligence by reviewing legal contracts, financial reports, and operating plans to support negotiations, restructures, and ongoing portfolio management. Research and evaluate economic trends, demographic shifts, and real estate market data to inform strategic recommendations and investment decisions. Draft technical memorandums, prepare executive briefing materials, and investigate operational issues to provide ad hoc analytical support as project needs arise. Participate in on-site property assessments across Air Force installations nationwide, evaluating operational performance and identifying improvement opportunities. Maintain and update financial databases and document management systems to ensure accurate tracking and accessibility of critical portfolio information.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, public policy, or related field. 0-3 years of professional experience in real estate, consulting, finance, or related fields. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling, PowerPoint for executive presentations, and Word for technical documentation. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to write formal reports, develop professional presentations, and speak effectively in client meetings and public forums. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proven ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Flexibility to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time to conduct on-site assessments and attend client meetings at Air Force installations nationwide.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of real estate operations and utilities management principles. Basic understanding of real estate finance concepts including budget analysis, pro forma development, and financial statement interpretation.
