The Role
Xylem is seeking a Trade Compliance Senior Analyst to support strategic trade initiatives across the enterprise. This role is a generalist position focused on analytics, reporting, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities including data analysis, duty mitigation efforts, and operational process improvements. The Analyst will play a critical role in shaping and advancing Xylem’s global trade compliance strategy, including driving cost savings, operational efficiencies, and risk reduction, while also helping to standardize processes, enhance visibility, and strengthen compliance oversight. As a key partner to regional and business unit teams, this individual will provide governance, reporting, and program support to ensure consistent and effective global import compliance.
Responsibilities
Program Governance & Support Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of global import compliance policies, procedures, and controls. Act as a liaison between corporate trade compliance and business segments to ensure alignment and consistency. Provide guidance and interpretation of import regulations to stakeholders across the organization. Process Improvement & Standardization Identify and drive opportunities for process harmonization and efficiency across the trade compliance program. Support implementation and optimization of trade policies, procedures, and data solutions. Training & Communication Support the development and delivery of trade compliance training and awareness programs. Promote a culture of compliance through regular communication and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Analytics, data management or related experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in global trade compliance, with specific expertise in customs regulations and compliance practices in North America. Understanding of Customs regulatory framework, including customs valuation rules, tariffs, and audit procedures. Good ability to identify and adapt best practices from other organizations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Power Apps. Self-starter with the ability to leverage efforts through effective involvement of individuals and resources from outside the immediate team. Positive, collegial, and collaborative approach. Fluent in English (verbal and written), with strong professional communication skills.
