Position
Summary The Associate Cloud Engineer is a role within Digital Infrastructure Engineering that supports the delivery and operation of secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure services. The role works alongside experienced engineers across cloud infrastructure, automation, and operations, with an emphasis on cloud security, including security posture, configuration compliance, risk identification, and remediation. This position provides an opportunity to build hands-on technical expertise while contributing to the continued maturity and security of the organization’s cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
Gains familiarity with the technology roadmap. Assists in monitoring and analyzing the performance of basic cloud infrastructure components. Participates across certain / identified platforms to ensure continuous availability and operational continuity of critical systems. Assists in all aspects of the cloud development life cycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance. Aids the development team and performs activities to resolve routine developer issues in a timely and accurate fashion. Supports the troubleshooting of incidents, identifying root cause, fixing and documenting problems, and implementing preventive measures. Provides operational support across the environment. Assists with monitoring, configuration and documentation of on-premises and cloud infrastructure focused solutions, following the guidance of management and senior staff. Supports the development of build and release processes. Supports system configurations and baselines to support secure application development software control best practices and standards.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience. Cloud Networking - Cloud networking refers to the practice of using cloud-based infrastructure and services to facilitate efficient communication, data transfer, and connectivity between devices, applications, and users over the internet. It involves leveraging cloud computing resources to optimize network performance, scalability, and accessibility, enabling organizations to securely access and manage their data and applications from anywhere. Cloud Storage - The ability to design, implement, manage and maintain cloud-based storage solutions leveraging cloud storage concepts and technologies with a working knowledge of cloud storage architecture and cloud storage security leveraging cloud-based storage tools and platforms.
