Facilities Electrical Engineer

As a Facilities Electrical Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible to provide high quality engineering services for planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the following site Facilities Electrical Systems in support of semiconductor manufacturing: Low/medium voltage switchgear and distribution systems Power Quality Equipment UPS Systems Generator Systems You will conduct capacity and scenario planning and evaluate impact of changes. In this role, you will work within Facilities Teams and with Manufacturing through all phases of design, construction, installation, start-up, operations, maintenance, and will ensure environmental, safety, regulatory, and code compliance. Responsibilities and Tasks Design and Plan Systems and Buildings Provide system designs for safe operations and maintenance Develop and review equipment and component specifications Ensure material compatibility Recommend critical spare parts Ensure designs align with all standards, codes, and regulations Continued maintenance of capacity planning databases (with Base Build capacities, POC assignments, and actual field conditions) Track system capacity relative to current measured loads and forecasted loads Prepare periodic system status presentations (system capacity, actual load, and projected loads based on all approved scenarios, key system accomplishments, and challenges/issues) Support manufacturing scenario planning according to standard process Evaluate system and distribution capacity impacts based on scenario changes Provide scope for facilities infrastructure additions or modifications Evaluate Space Planning for future equipment Provide Project Support Provide detailed designs and specifications for the installation of new facilities infrastructure Provide support for cost and schedule estimates and justification for approval Provide supervision and coordination of consultant resources Ensure appropriate communication with facilities and manufacturing collaborators Be responsible for the review of design packages Implement designs according to standard processes Prepare Project Scope and ensure vital input from appropriate collaborators Ensure that scope meets requestor needs Follow organizational change procedures Supervise progress and provide engineering and design support during construction Work with appropriate personnel to address problems or make corrections Perform system inspections per applicable code requirements and sign off on inspection report Support equipment startup and commissioning Ensure drawings are updated with completed project information according to as-built procedure Provide Technical Support, Leadership, and Expertise Provide consultation and support to Operations and Maintenance and Manufacturing Analyze systems to identify improvements that will result in better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savings Perform problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies Conduct risk and failure mode and effects analysis Eliminate single points of failure and mitigate risk Work with Manufacturing on excursion root cause identification, elimination, and prevention Build or modify Standard Utility Details (SUDs) Attend design review meetings and participate in reviews for design packages Benchmark with other Micron sites on operational, procedural, engineering, and design BKM of Facilities buildings and systems Safety Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations Be an active participant in the EHSS program by reporting all EHSS-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (ERT,
